Founding Father’s Day
The National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. features paintings of our nation’s founding fathers, including this really tall, skinny guy–no, not me–who went by Abraham Lincoln. Ironcially, Alicia, her mom Nancy, and myself visited the galleries (plus the International Spy Museum) on a beautiful Father’s Day, June 15th, 2008.
The quote above Lincoln says:
“The fiery trial through which we pass will light us down, in honor or dishonor, to the latest generation.”
To my Dad: Happy Father’s Day. I love you.
